New Finance & Strategy Firm Graphite Financial ( formed from early-stage NY-Based Venture Capital fund is seeking a fall intern to join our rapidly growing team. We provide a full suite of finance & accounting services to our technology startup clients. We take a hands-on approach to help our companies make better, data-driven decisions and increase their odds of success.

Job Overview

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who have a significant interest in working in startups and venture capital. This position will learn first hand how early-stage companies operate. We are looking for passion in this space and the drive to continuously improve what we do.

*This is a paid internship at $13/hr*


Assist with all aspects of financial planning & analysis (FP&A) for our client base of early stage technology companies:

  • Build complex operating financial models (P&L, BS, CF), working with Graphite & Company management to turn data into strategic decision making
  • Internal process improvement initiatives
  • Other ad-hoc projects as they arise

Desired Qualifications

  • Pursuing degree Accounting, Finance, or an MBA
  • Extremely strong excel capabilities
  • Ability to understand complex concepts and apply them logically
  • Significant interest in working in a startup and/or venture capital
  • High degree of personal motivation and work ethic
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player with desire to participate in an entrepreneurial firm culture
